Long Time, No See

by Nerrolken

Well, hello! Fancy seeing you here. It's been a while, I know, but don't think we've forgotten about this place...

A recent post on the forums brought my attention to the sad state of the newsposts on this site, so I thought I'd whip up one for those of you who don't check the forums as often. And, as it turns out, I had a pretty good reason to anyway: a while back, while playing around with Photoshop and listening to Christmas music, I whipped up three holiday-themed Edgeworks Desktops. I always figured I'd release them in December, and given the recent request for news, I figured now would be the perfect time.

As for news about future projects, there's the good, the bad, the exciting and the promising. The Good: Edgeworks is not dead, despite the recent lack of activity, and I'm not just being hopeful when I say that we will have another production. The Bad: that next production is not yet in production, so to speak, and when it happens, it will not be machinima. The Exciting: the lack of machinima means fewer constraints on potential stories and no need to fly under the radar, since we'll own 100% of our products. The Promising: I have no less than five webseries concepts that I am playing around with, three of which have gotten serious enough for me to design site headers for, in case they get the green light, and two of which I have started scripting.

Next semester I am starting a legendarily time-consuming film production class in which we make a short film every 3 weeks, and then I'm graduating from college in May. (Weird, huh? It seems like yesterday that I was posting Episode 20 of The Codex on this site just 36 hours before I left to GO to college...) That being said, February 9th is coming up, and I'm itching to get another section of this site up and running! So stay tuned: like the infomercials on your favorite channel at 3am, Edgeworks is in a lull between programming blocks, but we will be back.

In the meantime, enjoy the new holiday-themed desktops, and have a merry Christmas (unless you're not Christian), a happy Hanukkah (unless you're not Jewish), a happy New Year (unless you're Chinese), or a happy ceremonial deification of the winter solstice (unless you're not a pagan).

Wow I'm telling you when I stopped by to redownload the heretic and the codex I was not expecting awesome news like this. The Fact you guys are not going to be making more machinima is sad but from what I have seen of your previous productions a live action movie is going to kick as much ass if not more than a machinima.
So good luck to you
