I didn't see the trailer that they showed with Alice in Wonderland (I saw the 2D version, and the trailer was only with the 3D), but there's now a version available to watch for all of the rest of the world: http://www.program-glitch-esc.net/

I watched the original on G4 a lot. It was good, but not great (but it's an old movie anyway).

The original Tron is pretty fantastic for its time, at least in my opinion. I mean, it's the Avatar of 1982 without the fantastic reception at the box office.

New one does look pretty mad. Al;though the whole daddy-issues plot is gonna piss me off to no end. Either way, I also hope this rapes the flying flip out of Avatar. It's time the world realises you need a somewhat decent story, not just flashy visuals.

This movie will in no way surpass Avatar. I mean seriously, there is no way Tron is going to make $2,739,642,667.

True....but Avatar in no way ever deserved that much attention. At least Tron Legacy has another movie before it, and was as far as I know an ultimate cult hit.

Tron Legacy...HOPEFULLY will be a good movie! I have hopes...hopefully not TOO high hopes.

Difference is, Tron didn't become ultimately awesome until a few years after it came out. As far as I remember (Wasn't born then, but both parents loved it), it slowly gained momentum. Avatar only got away with it because FOX thought "Hey....Shiny! Let's give this the biggest advertising campaign evar!"....and I wouldn't be surprised it that's how it happened.

both my parents never heard of Tron before, and my Dad is 54 and my Mom is 44.
