Big news for our advertisers today. We here at Edgeworks HQ have been working for a while now on a custom, in-house stats tracking system called The Catacombs, which allows us to track site and forum activity, as well as analyze it automatically. It's a great system, and very helpful when planning future projects and initiatives.
Well today we are opening a part of that system up for the public, specifically the Ads tracker. Starting today, our advertisers can log in to a special section of the site, using their already-familiar Forum user accounts, and get up-to-the-second statistics and analysis of the performance of their ads, as well as a way to create new ads and renew ads that are coming to the end of their lives. Which brings me to the next change: the ad payment system. Rather than the clunky old "$20 a month" system we were using before, which didn't take into account changing traffic patterns or the number of ads being displayed, we are now working on the standard CPM system, wherein advertisers pay for a certain number of pageviews for their ad. This system allows for much greater flexibility for the system as a whole, as well as much greater reliability for our advertisers. This is a quantum leap forward for the advertising system of EdgeworksEnt.com, and we're confident that our advertisers will agree. So if you've been thinking about setting up an ad on EdgeworksEnt.com but you've been holding back, now's the time to do it. Go check it out! -------------------- Thanks to Sneaky and SquattingB for the awesome avatar!

I personally would like to say that I think this option incorporates many of my original grievances about the ads quite well!
-------------------- "If you break something that wasn't broken, truly you have realized that you have screwed up something...then you need to fix it...so what's the point of all of that? Well some say it builds character, I say...it builds ideas for when you are bored."
I was trying to come up with something very witty, smart, and exciting about this signature...what I found...well...let's just say that my test subjects are going to be okay. Then I decided that I could make a .gif and animate it! Poor Jimmy...I forgot that flashing multiple lights like that could cause a seizure....okay well then next I decided that I would write a very long paragraph, but out of my laziness I couldn't bring myself to |

As a user of the Backdoor and the advertising service on here itself, here is my review:
I love it! Easy to use, quick and simple. Alexander is usually very quick to approve the ads and I have not had a problem with the service(yet...well you never know...). The backdoor is really cool to look at stats that are normally unavailable and I love having the option to view on average how my ad is doing and if it is attracting any attention to my product! Thank you Edgeworks for making such a fast and easy to use advertising hub! -------------------- "If you break something that wasn't broken, truly you have realized that you have screwed up something...then you need to fix it...so what's the point of all of that?
