My laptop battery died this morning...its inconvenient at best, but least the thing still works off the charger...may take a while to get the right replacement for it though.

Gewd I hate laptop batteries.
Mine is meant to last jsut over an hour (and even says it) but will run out after about 15-20 minutes if I'm lucky dry.gif

I'm still a little p***ed off from last night (see ODST topic).

But I'll give it another go today.

I stand corrected.
I ran the laptop right down to when it goes into hibernate (only took about 20 minutes from full battery).

Then turned it on whilst the battery was critical and logged back on - it lasted on 2% for about 30 minutes before the battery ran 100% flat and died blink.gif
Absolutely crazy. Now giving it a full charge and going to run it down again to see what happens.

I was up until three thirty playing Mario Party. Now I have work in an hour and will be working for eight hours. On the plus side, Montana's coming up tomorrow, so that's a bonus!

Oh so not feeling good. Sunday I went to the state fair with a couple friends, and there was a rather unfortunate incident on one of the rides. The seats had grooves for your legs, which means that the plastic mold has a raised part between the legs. Well, when the ride was over, I guess I just didn't lift myself up high enough and crushed my nuts on it.

It's been a little more than 24 hours and my right one is still quite tender. This really, really sucks.

That and the heart. My two biggest gripes with evolution: we no real defense of our genitals, and the human heart is so fragile (yes, the metaphorical heart, not the literal muscle).

Do you leave your laptop plugged in a lot? Over time, if you're constantly plugged into the wall, the battery looses it's charge. I run mmy battery out at least twice a week to keep it workable for transporting myself on long trips.

Massive earthquakes down south here, which have fudged up the internet company we're with. The modem is god knows where, and we have no idea when we'll actually get access to the net. It's a bastard!

Fair sure that's why mine died the other day...not that it has lasted long without the charger for the past year anyway.

My mum told me about there was "A Tornado in Welwyn the otherday!" (Welwyn is a town/city near to me).
I was pretty puzzled as I didn't hear anything about it. Then she said about there was a Tornado in other towns south and north of here.

Then it clicked in my head as to what it was.
Obviously there had been a MAJOR misunderstanding as yes, there was a Tornado in all these towns (including mine).
In-fact, this Tornado travelled from London all the way up North. Picture of this Tornado as it moved North

Also, me and some friends reenacted the famous Beetles walk over Abbey Road Crossing photo yesterday wink.gif
I wasn't in it as I was taking the photo. Someone coming from the studio drove past me and congratulated me for taking the photo in the correct place.
Turns out, I was standing in the exact place the real photo was taken whilst many others get it wrong. Dam I felt proud happy.gif
Photo is on my facebook somewhere.

Quality photo! I wants to get one of those too one day...be epic if my 3 Beatles fan friends and I went to England just to do that, haha biggrin.gif

Well I'm a little at odds at the moment...quite tired (meant to be partying tonight, dont know if it will happen now though) also has study I should get a move on with...
But somethings bugging me, and I have a suspicion that one of my good friends may have done something I'd wish they hadn't...guess I'll see if I'm right or not over the next few days to a week...I hope I'm wrong.

Nothing up in Tauranga, but it's your standard earthquake after affects down south. B roken houses, pipes, toilets not flushing, etc. Apparently though, no one died (That we know of so far), which is both good and surprising. You think someone would have had something pound 'em in the head hard enough. Or something fall on them.

Could just be age? If not........madness ensues. Or maybe buy a new battery? I can't say for sure, but I don't think they're that expensive.

It crossed my mind as a possibility.
I have two batteries and both are doing the same. Dieing after only 15-30 minutes where they should last at least an hour.
I don't use it on the move at all so it's not a big problem - just quite annoying.
