Episode 2 is Online!

by Nerrolken

Episode 2 of The League of Ordinary Gamers is now online for Sponsors! For just $10 every 6 months, Sponsors get all episodes released 24 hours early, along with the ability to watch the videos in hi-res and fullscreen, bonus videos, access to a sponsors-only forum, a shiny gold star by your name, and all that while getting what you really want, which is helping us fund Season 2 and more Edgeworks videos in the future!

If you can't Sponsor now, the videos will be publicly available 24 hours after the initial release, and you can upgrade your membership at any time.

Thanks again to everyone for showing up for the launch last week, and I'm happy to report that we topped 4,300 views for Episode 1 in the first week! Not a bad start to the new series, so enjoy Episode 2, and let us know what you think by commenting below!

Keep Calm and Game On

by Nerrolken

Hey, folks! It's been a pretty wild couple of days here at Edgeworks HQ. We've gotten over 2,000 views on Episode 1 of The League of Ordinary Gamers, along with over 70 Facebook Likes, and all in less than three days!

In celebration of this fantastic start to the series, we are releasing a couple of new League-themed downloads. Springing from the mind of our very own Andy Wolfe, aka Martin, it presents a new take on a popular meme: Keep Calm and Game On!

We'll be posting Episode 2 on Thursday for our Sponsors, and then on Friday for the general public. In the meantime, enjoy the new desktops, and keep spreading the word about Episode 1!

Welcome to the League

Happy February 9th!

This is an important day in the history of Edgeworks Entertainment, and this year perhaps more than any other. On Feb 9th 2005, we released Episode 1 of The Codex, beginning our first webseries and marking the beginning of this crazy story. The Codex would go on to garner over 90,000,000 hits along with press features on NPR, MTV, the Dallas Observer, the Houston Press, XBOXWorld360 Magazine in Britain, and the professional blog of the Editor-in-Chief of WIRED Magazine, among many others.

2006 brought the announcement of The Heretic, the highly anticipated sequel to The Codex, and 2007 saw the release of Episode 1. Subsequent years saw the release of Vox Populi, community enhancements, spin-off websites, a teaser for Radical, and much more.

And now, in 2012, we are officially launching The League of Ordinary Gamers, our first live-action webseries! We've had an overwhelmingly positive response to the teaser and trailer, and now we invite you to check out Episode 1.

We also have a t-shirt (and one for the ladies) commemorating one of the lines from Episode 1, so be sure to check it out, regardless of your alignment. It's grey, just like your morality. You know who you are.

So that's the news of the day! If you're new to the site, welcome! Feel free to hang out on the forums, check out our other videos, and enjoy everything we have for League. And if you're an old fan, welcome back! Enjoy Episode 1, and we'll see you back here next Thursday night for Episode 2!

Bigger, Faster, Stronger

It's a good day to be a Sponsor!

Edgeworks is very excited to be releasing our new webseries, and it's only the first thing we have lined up. That being said, making movies costs money, so we are also focusing on our fundraising efforts to ensure that our first new webseries isn't our last. We're planning on being here for the long run, so we're making every effort to ensure that we have enough money to keep making high-quality webseries.

With that in mind, we are announcing several great new features for our Sponsorship plan. For only $10 every 6 months, (that comes out to about $1.67/month), you now get access to high-res versions of our entire video library, a slew of bonus videos, and access to all our new releases before the general public can access them. This, on top of the old benefits like a special Achievement on the forums, access to a Sponsors-Only forum, and a shiny gold star by your name, for the same price!

So if you like getting more videos, at higher resolution, before they are actually released to the public, you know what to do! And really, at less than $2/month, who can't afford it?

And of course, all the money that we get from Sponsorships, as well as from merchandise and DVD/soundtrack sales goes straight back into producing the next round of webseries, and that's good for everyone!

So help us help you. Become a Sponsor!

Stuff and Things!

by Nerrolken

Now that the cat is out of the bag regarding our brand new live-action webseries, we can finally start announcing some exciting merch opportunities!

Now, something to keep in mind: we made Season 1 of League out of our pockets, and no one was getting paid for the first season, from the Director down to the PA's. All revenue from the website ads, video ads, merchandise and everything else goes straight toward funding the continued rise of Edgeworks, and if we are able to make Season 2 of League, we'll finally be able to pay back our cast and crew.

So, if you want to see more great content from Edgeworks Entertainment, spread the word as widely as you can, "Like" and "Tweet" and "+1" everything in sight, generate some good traffic on the site and the forums, and vote with your feet straight to the Edgeworks Online Store!

Specifically, we are announcing several great pieces of League merch today:
- League Logo T-shirt (also available for Women)
- League Symbol T-shirt (also available for Women)
- League Logo Zip Hoodie
- League Logo Hoodie

And some amazing pre-orders for the series:
- League Season 1 DVD
- League Season 1 Soundtrack (CD)
- League Season 1 Soundtrack (Download)

And, as always, you can become a Sponsor for less than $2/month and get all kinds of great benefits for League, and every other production we have in development!

Again, all revenue goes straight back into financing the next Edgeworks production, so if you want more shows from the makers of The Codex and The Heretic, help spread the word about Edgeworks Entertainment and our new series, The League of Ordinary Gamers!
